Belleville police responded to 49 calls in the past 24 hours.
Theft
On April 18, 2021 at 1:30 p.m., Belleville police were called about a theft that had occurred overnight from a vehicle parked on Finch Dr. A small number of items were removed from the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who has information about this event or similar thefts is asked to contact Sgt. Brad Lentini at blentini@police.belleville.on.ca
Warrant
On April 18, 2021 at 3:50 p.m., Belleville police received information from Kingston police that a male was in custody in Kingston on outstanding warrants from Belleville. Officers attended in Kingston and arrested 32-year-old Ian Beauchamp. He was later released and has a court date of May 27.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On April 18, 2021 at 7:15 p.m., Belleville police along with paramedics and Belleville Fire responded to the intersection of Dundas Street East and Front Street for a two-vehicle collision. Minor injuries were reported. One driver was charged with failing to stop at a red light.
Mischief
On April 18, 2021 at 7:50 p.m., Belleville police received information that a male had damaged a laundromat door on Dundas Street East. Police located the male suspect nearby and arrested him. A 39-year-old male has a bail hearing today on one count of mischief.
