Prince Edward County council will hear from staff on recommendations regarding STA compliance software at its meeting Tuesday.
Staff are recommending that council approve a budget of $25,000 to begin searching for Short Term Accommodation compliance software and $30,000 to procure a study on the effects STAs have on affordable housing in the county.
Compliance software serves to enforce local STA laws by checking for duplicate listings, examining for STAs that may be booking more than the allowed yearly amount and verifying licence numbers.
Council meets Tuesday at 7 p.m.
