It was a busy Easter long weekend for members of Bancroft OPP, who were conducting a traffic blitz and laid 36 charges over the weekend.
Fifteen of those were for speeding, seven were for seatbelt violations, four were related to insurance issues and one was a liquor-related charge.
OPP say nine charges were also laid for various other offenses and a total of 171 vehicles were checked at R.I.D.E. stops across the area.
Police say even though their targeted campaign is over, that doesn’t lessen their commitment to keeping area roads safe.
