The region’s big fishing weekend is almost upon us. Walleye and Pike season opens Friday at midnight and anglers will be out and about on the Bay of Quinte and elsewhere.
And, for the first time ever the Competitive Sport Fishing League will stage the Quinte Walleye Festival which replaces the Kiwanis Walleye World derby.
The Quinte Walleye World will be based out of Trenton’s Centennial Park as always and like Walleye World will offer prizes and is supporting organizations such as the Trenton Care and Share Food Bank and the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
