It’s another record for new positive cases of COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties today.
The HPE Public Health Dashboard is showing 37 new cases and five recoveries, for an active total of 137.
One more person has also been admitted to hospital, for a total of four, with two patients in the ICU.
17 of the new cases were found in Belleville, 13 in Quinte West, three each in Prince Edward County and Centre Hastings, and one each in North Hastings and Deseronto.
15 of the new cases are linked to close contact, four are outbreak related, three each are tied to travel and local spread, with 12 transmission causes pending.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people has jumped to 68.8 which would put the region in the Red Zone of Ontario’s COVID-19 response framework, if a current province wide lockdown wasn’t already in place.
Numbers from the HKPR Health Unit, for Northumberland County, haven’t been updated yet since Saturday.
