It was a beautiful day Tuesday and a new high temperature record was almost set in the Quinte region.
According to Environment Canada the mercury climbed to 18.2 degrees celsius in the afternoon.
That’s warm enough but it was no record.
The record was a temperature of 19.1 degrees on March 23 of 1979.
