The Member of Provincial Parliament for Bay of Quinte riding says the Throne Speech contained good things but in itself is simply a high level political document and action needs to happen and quickly.
Todd Smith says the clock is ticking on such things as the Canada Emergency Response Benefit, or CERB, which ends next week.
Smith also says Premier Ford is disappointed there wasn’t more of a commitment on health transfers and helping pay the vastly increasing costs to the health care system caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
