The process is now underway to improve cell service throughout Eastern Ontario.
The call for proposals from companies to provide the enhanced cellular service across the area went out this spring, with a closing date of August 14.
Hastings County CAO Jim Pine tells Quinte News they are looking for a complete solution to the issue of improved service.
Federal and provincial and municipal governments have contributed to the $213 million project and the winning company is also expected to contribute financially.
Pine expects construction to begin next year with completion in 2025.
