A section of Ross Street in Picton was closed this morning for an OPP investigation.
OPP East Region put out a tweet around 9:00 a.m. saying officers had shut down Ross Street between Main Street and King Street to look into a workplace incident and that Hastings-Quinte EMS and county firefighters were on scene as well.
A report in the Picton Gazette says two people were injured at a construction site, when a wall being hoisted atop a two-storey building collapsed on them.
OPP tweeted again around 10:30 that the scene had been cleared.
No other details were immediately available, but we’ll update the story as more information is released by authorities.
