Members of the Belleville Downtown District will be helping you beat the winter blues next month as the annual Savour The Chill soup contest returns.
The 17th annual event starts at noon on Saturday, February 22 and will feature soup samples from 14 local restaurants.
The soups will be voted on with a people’s choice award, as well as a voted on by a panel of judges and will be judged on taste, presentation and creativity.
A four ounce sample will cost a toonie and anyone planning to attend should remember to bundle up and bring their own spoon to help reduce waste.
While the event is free, you’re asked to register here if you’re planning to attend so organizers can have an idea of how much soup will be needed.
