Two charged with drug offences
Two people from North Hastings have been charged with drug offences.
OPP responded to a complaint at a home on Woodview Lane in Bancroft last Thursday morning and after speaking with the homeowner, removed two people from the building.
Twenty-year-old Emily Woodcock of Bancroft and 30-year-old Lawrence O’Brien of Carlow-Mayo Township, were each charged with two counts of possessing a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Both were released with March 19 court dates in Bancroft.
Thefts from three stores on Hastings Street North
Three people are facing theft charges after separate incidents in the Bancroft area last week.
On February 6, officers responded to a theft complaint at a business on Hastings Street North, where employees were holding a woman suspected of stealing.
Twenty-five-year-old Erika Olmstead was charged with theft under $5,000.
Later that day a man was caught on video stealing from another store on the same street and officers arrested 35 year0old Ryan Hogan and laid the same charge against him.
Then, the following day, a theft complaint was made at a third business on Hastings Street North and police were able to identify a suspect, but she hasn’t yet been arrested.
Investigators say she’ll also be charged with theft under $5,000 once she’s in custody.
