An 83-year-old man reported missing on Friday evening was returned home safe and sound thanks to Project Lifesaver.
Belleville Police say the man had been dropped off in the Airport Parkway area to go for a walk but didn’t return as planned.
Officers located the man an hour later, unharmed.
Project Lifesaver is an electronic tracking program used to help police locate people prone to wandering, such as those afflicted by Alzheimer’s disease, autism and Down syndrome.
