The Belleville Senators have signed a former Kingston Frontenac to a professional tryout agreement ahead of tonight’s game in Syracuse.
26 year-old forward Ethan Werek took part in B-Sens camp, registering an assist in two exhibition games, but was released before the regular season started.
He has re-joined the team but isn’t confirmed to be in the lineup tonight.
Werek had 27 points in 55 games with the AHL Texas Stars, along with three points in two ECHL games with the Orlando Solar Bears last season.
During three OHL seasons in Kingston, Werek netted 86 goals and 94 assists in 170 games played.
Tonight’s game against the Crunch can be heard live on 800 CJBQ or via the CJBQ App, with pregame at 6:50 p.m.
