A former first round pick of the Belleville Bulls could be suiting up for the AHL’s Belleville Senators next season. The Ottawa Senators have signed winger Tyler Randell to a two year two way contract.
Belleville drafted Randell in 2007 before trading him to the Kitchener Rangers mid way through his second season. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2009 and played most of his professional career with their American Hockey League team in Providence. The 26 year old Randell did play 27 games for Boston scoring 6 goals.
Ottawa has signed other players with Belleville in mind. Centres Ben Sexton and Max Reinhart, defenceman Erik Burgdoerfer and goalie Danny Taylor are on two-way deals as well.
