Deborah Rashotte has been positively identified as the woman found dead in the Moira River last week near Cannifton. City Police issued a statement this morning indicating that no foul play is suspected in the death of the 27-year old woman. A post-mortem was completed yesterday at the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto where the cause of death was determined as drowning. Rashotte was reported missing on February 11th by her family….she was last seen approximately one month before that in the area of St. Thomas Church in Belleville. Over 50 witnesses had been interviewed in the case in the hopes of locating Rashotte.
