The results are in! Downtown Belleville’s third annual Savour the Flavour brought the community downtown on Saturday, Oct. 3, for an afternoon of mac and cheese creations, friendly competition and plenty of cheesy goodness.
This year, Burger Revolution came out on top, taking home both the Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice awards for their Dragon Mac Fries.
The double win marks a special moment for Downtown Belleville’s Savour events. This is the first time since 2022 that a restaurant has taken home both the Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice awards at the same Savour event. The last restaurant to accomplish the feat was Chilangos Mexican Restaurant, which swept both awards at Savour the Chill in 2022.
Seventeen Downtown Belleville restaurants participated in this year’s competition, serving up creative takes on mac and cheese. From classic comfort food flavours to dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world, participating restaurants once again showed just how much culinary creativity can be found in the Downtown District.

2nd Place – Capers Restaurant: Beef Bulgogi with Togarashi Mornay Cheese Sauce
3rd Place – Memorial Canteen & Beer Garden: Duck Confit Mac n’ Cheese
People’s Choice

Savour the Flavour is part of Downtown Belleville BIA’s Savour Series, which encourages residents and visitors to explore downtown restaurants, try something new and support local businesses.
This year’s event was made possible with the support of title sponsor Lactalis Canada, who generously supplied cheese and butter to participating restaurants. Lactalis also joined the festivities downtown handing out Cheesestrings to attendees. Also present was Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre accepting donations and chatting with the public about their brand new facilities right downtown!
