On Wednesday afternoon around 4:35 p.m., Belleville police received a report of a road rage incident.
The complainant reported that another driver struck their vehicle during the incident and then fled the area.
Officers located the suspect vehicle driving erratically and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, Thomas Vance, a 54-year-old Prince Edward County man, was arrested and charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.
He was released on an undertaking with a court date in November.
