The Belleville Senators gave a preview of what’s to come during the 2026-27 AHL season in a media event held at their soon-to-be officially renamed arena on Tuesday.
The B-Sens will be celebrating their 10th anniversary of being in the Quinte region, and they will be marking the occasion with a number of initiatives.
This includes the new 10th anniversary jersey that was revealed during the Town Hall event held during the summer.
It was revealed that the jersey will be worn 10 times throughout the year starting on November 1.
Also planned is a multi-part documentary series highlighting the team’s history in the Bay of Quinte region.
New for this year will be the “Brick by Brick” campaign, which would feature Belleville Senator graduates who made their NHL debuts with the parent club, Ottawa Senators.

During the presentation, General Manager of the Belleville Senators Matt Turek spoke about the roster construction heading in to the new season.
Entering his second season with the organization, Turek says the goal is to build a competitive roster for the Belleville Senators that supports Ottawa while giving local fans a team to be proud of.
“I think some of the signings we had this summer, I think that you’ll see early on here that we we have some really good players, a fantastic coaching staff, and have a team for Belleville to be proud of, and I’m excited about it, really excited about it,” Turek told media during the event.
“We just started kicking off camp here, and and we have some new players to the to the area, and you know just within the last couple days, the new guys being in the area, they’re just so impressed with Belleville.”
Speaking with Quinte News following the presser, Turek spoke about some of the new acquisitions that he is looking forward to see in Belleville.
“Whether you know it’s Sammy Blais or Ryan Suzuki, Phil Tommasino, Christian Kyrou, you know we just picked up (Jonas) Johansson in that. So I mean, there’s so many. Kasper Halttunen,” Turek tells Quinte News.
“There’s a lot of interesting players, and even for me, as a manager, there’s a bit of a side to me too that’s just really intrigued by watching these players this year.”

The Belleville Senators will kick off their season at home on Friday at 7 p.m. when they take on the Hamilton Hammers, with an official naming rights announcement for the new arena set to be made before the game.
Based on signage already put up, the expectation is that the arena will be called CIBC Place.
