On Wednesday at approximately 1:45 p.m., Cobourg police initiated a search after receiving a report of a missing person.
Based on information received during the investigation, there was concern that the individual may have entered Lake Ontario near the south end of Hibernia Street in Cobourg, prompting requests for assistance from the Cobourg Fire Department and the Canadian Coast Guard.
A short time later, the missing person was located at their residence in good health and the search was called off.
