A familiar sight in Belleville for over two centuries every Labour Day weekend won’t be there this time around.
Four months ago the Belleville Agricultural Society announced that what would have been the 203rd edition of
the Quinte Exhibition, commonly known as the Belleville Fair, would be cancelled this year.
Meanwhile, construction continues on a new, bigger and better fairgrounds along Black Diamond Road near Highway 401.
It’s expected it will be ready to host the exhibition on Labour Day weekend next year.
