Downtown Belleville will come alive with the sights, sounds, and flavours of the Caribbean as the Belleville Caribbean African Community Organization (BCACO) celebrates the fifth annual Belleville Caribbean Festival from August 14–16, 2026.
The three-day celebration showcases Caribbean culture through music, food, entertainment, and community, while welcoming residents and visitors to experience one of Downtown Belleville’s most vibrant summer events. The festival continues to grow each year, bringing together local businesses, cultural organizations, performers, and thousands of attendees for a weekend of celebration in the city’s downtown core.
Festivities begin on Friday, August 14, with two evening events. Fête-en-Noir will take place at UpFront Café from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, while Sans Souci will host a Caribbean Dinner and Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Night, also running from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.
The main festival takes place on Saturday, August 15, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout Downtown Belleville. Festival-goers can enjoy live entertainment, authentic Caribbean cuisine, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and the highly anticipated Caribbean Parade, which begins at 1:00 p.m. This rolling closure will leave the Belleville Courthouse heading north on James Street, east on Bridge Street then North on Front Street. As the parade moves through the city the side streets connected to these roads will be closed as it passes. The parade will end inside the front street road closure at approximately 2:00 p.m.
The celebrations continue into the evening with an official After Party at Sans Souci and then the weekend concludes on Sunday, August 16, with the Island Jam Breakfast, hosted at Caribbean Jerk Spot, offering one final opportunity to enjoy Caribbean food and community before the festival wraps up.
To accommodate Saturday’s festivities, two downtown streets will be closed to vehicle traffic. A soft road closure will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, with a hard closure taking effect at 9:00 a.m. At that time, all vehicles must be removed from on-street parking within the closure area.
The road closure includes: Front Street from Victoria Avenue to Bridge Street and
Campbell Street from Front Street to Pinnacle Street. These streets will re-open on Sunday August 16th.
Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, arrive early, and utilize nearby municipal parking lots and public parking areas outside of the closure zone.
