Belleville City Council approved awarding a single-source contract for Contract Administration and Construction Inspection Services related to the rehabilitation project for Upper Front Street Bridge.
The approval came at the council’s meeting on Monday.
The total dollar figure for the contract awarded to HP Engineering Inc. is $212,886.35.
In a report to council, staff notes that the move will help prevent costly delays and ensure the nearly century-old structure is repaired exactly as intended.
