The City of Belleville says that an “unplanned maintenance issue” has shut down the main pool at the Templeman Aquatic Centre, effective immediately.
All lane swims and programs scheduled in the main pool for the remainder of today through Friday, July 31 have been cancelled.
The city says that the therapy and preschool pools are also closed, but will be closed through Wednesday, July 29.
Both pools are expected to be open on Thursday, July 30.
As there are no programs scheduled this weekend or on the Civic Holiday next Monday, Aug. 3, the main pool will reopen on Tuesday, August 4.
Residents looking for an alternative swimming location are encouraged to visit the Kinsmen Community Outdoor Pool, which will remain open during this time, weather permitting.
