Two female teens are facing charges following an assault in Belleville’s north end Tuesday evening.
Police responded just before 7:30 p.m. and learned that earlier in the evening, three female youths had initiated a verbal altercation with another youth which escalated into a physical assault.
Officers reviewed video footage from the incident and were able to identify the suspects involved.
As a result of the investigation, officers located, arrested, and charged two 15-year-old Belleville females with assault.
Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Both accused were released on Undertakings with scheduled court dates in September.
