Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has announced it has made a first quarter (April 1 – June 30) payment totalling $798,839 to the City of Belleville for hosting Shorelines Casino Belleville.
Funds from OLG will be used for infrastructure projects in the City of Belleville.
OLG says in a release that since the gaming site opened in January 2017, Belleville has received $26,214,690.
Thee payments are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.
“Revenues from OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement allow Belleville to invest in infrastructure and provide funding for critical community services,” said Bay of Quinte MPP Tyler Allsopp.
“Provincial revenues from Shorelines Casino Belleville will help improve the quality of life for families across Ontario.”
