Northumberland OPP have charged an individual following an altercation between two motorists.
Police and Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of a disturbance involving two drivers and an edged weapon on Academy Hill Road in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand.
One person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
OPP say that the other motorist was not at the scene when officers arrived and was later taken into custody by the OPP in Belleville.
Injuries sustained by this person during the altercation were determined to be non-serious.
The investigation is being assisted by the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services.
As a result, 38-year-old Leroy Garwood of Oshawa has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in September 2026.
