The poor air quality from the smoke making its way from the wildfires in northern Ontario is now affecting parcel and mail delivery from Canada Post.
The mail carrier says in a release that Belleville, Trenton, and Cobourg have been issued a red alert.
This means that Canada Post is suspending delivery for the day and not sending its delivery agents out or recalling them.
This also includes mail collection.
Canada Post says that delivery service alerts are posted and updated on its Delivery service alerts webpage and on their @canadaposthelps X account.
