A pair of developments in Quinte West have been approved to receive grants towards development charges.
During Wednesday’s meeting of council, councillors reviewed two requests for development charge grants under the new Housing Community Improvement Plan. Developers applying for grants can receive up to 25% of development charges reimbursed as a grant, up to a maximum of $100,000.
The two properties receiving grants are 467 Front Street, for a 20 unit purpose built rental property, and 182 Shuter Street for a duplex with two new rental units. The Front Street property is set to receive $41,461.60 while the Shuter street development will recieve $7,531.25.
The motions were passed without debate.
