Northumberland OPP are investigating an assault of a staff member at Warkworth Institution.
On July 10, 2026, shortly after 5:00 p.m., police received a report that a staff member had been assaulted by an inmate at the facility.
Police say that the staff member of staff was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This investigation is on-going.
