Durham Regional Police say a male is facing charges after making threats with a knife to a taxi driver in Oshawa.
On Sunday at approximately 5:40 p.m., an officer was approached by the victim in the area of Bloor Street East and Ritson Road South. The victim was approaching the final destination for a male he was transporting in his taxi, when the male brandished what the victim believed was a firearm in his waistband, and made threats. The suspect subsequently fled the vehicle.

A search of the suspect revealed a large knife tucked into his waistband.
A 15-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with: Assault with a Weapon, Possess Weapon Dangerous, and Uttering Threats.
He was held for a bail hearing.
