A graduate from the Quinte Red Devils system has been selected at number 16 by the St Louis Blues in the first round of the NHL Draft.
Maddox Dagenais, who attended Ecole Catholique L’Envol at CFB Trenton, is a centre who last played for the Quebec Remparts in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Maddox’s father is former NHL’er Pierre Dagenais and right after his selection yesterday Maddox talked about his family.
“Yeah just spending moments with them and you know all the work they put into me yeah I’m so thankful and also my cousin and the families
there and I’m so proud of them and …yeah I think I’m so happy I got no words right now!”
The NHL Draft is being held in Buffalo.
