Break and Enter Arrest
A 43-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident at a Peterborough business early Saturday morning.
At approximately 4:00am on June 13, 2026, officers were called to the business in the Ashburnham Drive and Lansdowne Street area after it was noticed two people had entered an enclosed compound. Upon arrival, officers were unable to access the compound and the RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) was deployed. Using the technology, officers were able to locate one man as he exited the compound on the other side and started leaving the area by a path. Officers were able to stop him on the path and take him into custody.
As a result, a 43-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
- Possession Break In Instruments
The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court September 1, 2026.
Theft Arrest
A 38-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after a theft incident Friday night.
At approximately 8:30pm on June 12, 2026, officers were called to a business in the Lansdowne Street and The Parkway. Upon arrival, officers were made aware of a woman who had left the store without paying for several items. Officers located a woman matching the description given to police in a small, wooded area nearby and took her into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Theft Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order X7
The accused is currently bound by seven probation orders with the following conditions: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not attend the business at which the incident occurred.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on June 13, 2026.
Impaired Arrest
A 25-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Sunday evening.
At approximately 8:30pm on June 14, 2026, officers were called after a report of a possible impaired driver in the Lansdowne Street and Webber Avenue area after it was spotted travelling at a high rate of speed and striking a curb. Upon arrival to the area, officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of a plaza in the Lansdowne Street and Kawartha Heights Boulevard area. Officers approached the vehicle, spoke to the driver and noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Careless driving (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court July 28, 2026.
Impaired Arrest
A 23-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 3:20am on June 14, 2026, an officer on general patrol on George Street spotted a vehicle going the wrong direction. The officer conducted a traffic stop and noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Lindsay man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court July 28, 2026.
