There was a large fire in Greater Napanee on Monday evening.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., fire crews were first called out near South Shore Road, by Adulphustown.
Heavy black smoke and flames were visible from as far away as Kingston and Quinte West, as the building burned, appearing to spread past the outside of the barn.
Social media chatter indicates the property is called Hay Bay Genetics, described as a hog farm operation, however, that has not been confirmed by official sources.
Those unofficial sources also state no animals were harmed in the blaze.
Loyalist Township, Mohawk, Tyendinaga Township, Deseronto, and Kingston Fire and other crews were called to the scene, along with Greater Napanee Fire.
Hydro One and OPP also responded.
More information is anticipated Tuesday.
