A second man wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this year has been arrested.
One person was airlifted to a Toronto hospital after the incident at an apartment on George Street just south of Parkhill Road.
A 23-year-old Oshawa man was arrested on nine charges with the assistance of the Durham Regional Police Service Tactical Response Team on March 19.
Through continued investigation, officers with the Peterborough Police Service Major Crime Unit were able to identify the second suspect and on Wednesday, along with the Peterborough Police Service Emergency Response Team, conducted a search warrant at a residence in Toronto.
As a result, 24-year-old Zuhib Mohamed of Toronto was arrested and charged with:
- Attempt to commit murder using firearm
- Aggravated assault
- Robbery using firearm (restricted or prohibited)
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court Thursday.
