With the Victoria Day long weekend coming up, many local services and businesses are going to be running on altered schedules on holiday Monday.
In Belleville, several services will be closed. On Victoria Day, City Hall, the Leaf and Yard Waste Depot, Glanmore National Historic Site, Belleville Public Library, and Community Archives will all be closed. The Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre will also be closed on Victoria Day, with a special schedule over the weekend.
Belleville Transit will not be running regular service or mobility buses on Victoria Day.
Most grocery stores in Belleville will also be operating under altered schedules on Victoria Day. Metro and Food Basics will both be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., McDowell’s Independent will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fresh Co. will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Belleville Walmart will be open with regular hours.
In addition, Quinte Mall will also be on a reduced schedule, open from 11 to 5.
In Quinte West, Quinte West City Hall, Frankford Municipal Office and the Frankford Yard Waste Depot will be closed on Monday. Quinte Transit will not be running any bus service.
In Prince Edward County, municipal offices will be closed. The Wellington and District Community Centre and the Prince Edward Community Centre will also be closed on Monday. County Transit will not be operating any services on Victoria Day. Garbage collection will continue on Monday uninterrupted.
Most of the local LCBO locations will be operating with reduced hours on Victoria Day. Both Belleville locations, Trenton and Picton LCBO will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm. The LCBOs in Rossmore and Wellington will be closed on Monday.
As far as The Beer Store is concerned, the only outlet open will be on Belleville’s Bell Boulevard.
