Belleville Police will be focused on modified vehicles over the next few weeks.
In an effort to keep roads safe, police will be conducting inspections to ensure that vehicle modifications do not compromise driver ability or put others at risk.

Officers will be paying particular attention to common concerns, including:

Exhaust systems: Excessively loud or improperly modified exhausts that create noise disturbances.

Suspension and ride height: Lifts over 2 inches or unsafe suspension modifications that affect vehicle stability and roadworthiness.

Lighting: Headlights, taillights, and other vehicle lighting must meet visibility and safety standards.

Window tint: Front side windows and windshields must provide an unobstructed view for safe driving.
The inspections are part of Belleville Police’s ongoing commitment to road safety.
