Hastings County is preparing a new digital data platform for use in Long-Term Care Homes.
The Hastings/Quinte Long-Term Care Committee discussed the new patient data platform during Wednesday’s meeting.
The new platform, OnSPARK, is set for use at Hastings Manor and Centennial Manor to help turn routinely collected patient data into secure reports that facility staff can use to monitor trends over time. This would allow staff to identify problems faster, and react accordingly.
The project is fully funded through the Ministry of Long-Term Care.
The committee accepted the report, and recommended council officially adopt the new platform when they review the matter at a later meeting.
