Police seized a 9mm handgun and laid weapons charges against a 27-year-old man following an incident in Belleville’s east end Saturday night.
Police responded to an altercation just before 10:30 p.m.
It was reported that a male was outside a residence in possession of a firearm and had pointed it while attempting to get the complainant to open the door.
Upon arrival, officers located the male and arrested him without incident, seizing the gun and a magazine with eight rounds.
The unidentified Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

He was held for a bail hearing.
