Northumberland OPP are investigating an incident involving a number of individuals in Roseneath.
Officers responded to an incident at a residence on Hall Road just before 8 p.m. on Monday.
It was reported to police that two people were involved in an altercation and a weapon was involved.
Upon arrival, the individuals sought in connection with the incident were not at the location.
A description of the vehicle they left in was provided.
Police say all parties involved were known to one another.
Emergency Medical Services attended and assessed the complainant for non-serious injuries.
A local Scenes of Crime Officer also attended to assist with the investigation.
Around 9:00 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description provided, however, the vehicle was not being driven by the individual sought by police.
Through continued investigation, OPP located and took into custody several individuals at an address on County Road 22 in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand at approximately 10:00 p.m.
No other persons are being sought at this time.
The investigation is being continued by the OPP Crime Unit.
Police say that no further information can be provided at this time and updates will be issued as they become available.
