The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board has recognized several students and staff for their contributions, as part of Catholic Education Week.
The Catholic Teacher of the Year award was given to Maureen O’Connor, a teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Marmora, in recognition of her dedication to her students, meritorious service to the school board, and commitment to Catholic education.
The Secondary Student Volunteer Award was awarded to Lydia Reilly, a Grade 12 student at St. Paul Catholic Secondary School. She was recognized for exemplary volunteer service to the school.
The Adult Volunteer Award was given to IIdaco Rutledge, in recognition of her exceptional history of volunteer service to the school community.
