Detours are in place starting Monday to allow for work on 2nd Dug Hill Road.
A full road closure from Highway 2 to Hillside Meadows Drive has begun.
All residential traffic from Hillside Meadows subdivision will be detoured south on 2nd Dug Hill Road to Loyalist Parkway for the duration of the closure.
Temporary signal lights have been installed to manage traffic flow and will remain in effect throughout the summer.
Access will remain open to emergency vehicles until further notice.
All other residential traffic accessing Hillside Meadows subdivision will be detoured to Loyalist Parkway.
About the 2nd Dug Hill Road urbanization project:
The City of Quinte West is creating a sidewalk and multi-use pathway on 2nd Dug Hill Road from Highway 2 south for approximately 1.6 km. The first phase of construction will continue throughout the spring and summer.
