The Northumberland Land Trust is hosting its 18th Annual Birding Marathon.
On a May morning of their choosing, birders will have 24 hours to identify the bird species at each of NLT’s 19 nature reserves.
At the end of May, the total number of bird species identified across all nature reserves will be tallied. Last year, 147 species were identified.
The cumulative number of species identified is 181 during the history of the Birding Marathon.
