Belleville Fire has completed an investigation into the cause of a structure fire that destroyed a Belleville business over the weekend.
Firefighters responded to Collision Masters on Park Drive on Saturday morning, finding the building fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters from every Belleville fire station worked together to battle the blaze and eventually extinguish it. No one was injured in the fire.
An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire. After the investigation, the fire was ruled accidental. Belleville Fire reminds people to be aware of their surroundings and to have a fire watch in place when working with “hot works” such as welding, cutting or grinding.
Damages from the fire are estimated at $300,000.
