Officers from Prince Edward County OPP have charged a person after an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Thursday at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute.
After completing an investigation, officers charged one person with three counts of assault, two counts of assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement, sexual assault, and uttering threats.
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim. They were held pending a bail hearing.
