The 4th annual YMCA of Central East Ontario Pickleball tournament is taking place Thursday April 23, at the Pickleplex in Belleville.
Tens of thousands of dollars will be raised to support programs, memberships, and camps for children in the Quinte region.
Sarah Rozema-Seaton is a Co-Chair for the Strong Kids Campaign
“This Thursday in Belleville, our community is coming together for the 4th annual pickleball tournament in support of the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. Whether you’re cheering for the Belleville Big Dills or the Durkins Gherkins, every dollar raised stays right here in our community and supports our local kids.”

Rozema Seaton explains the Strong Kids Campaign, which stays at the Belleville and Quinte West branches of the Y.
“The Strong Kids campaign is more important than ever. With the cost of living continuing to rise, many families are finding it hard to afford programs for their children. The Strong Kids campaign ensures that financial barriers don’t prevent kids from participating in sports, camps, and community programs that build their confidence and connection.”
The teams are split between Belleville and Quinte West, with the team that fundraises the most crowned the champion.
