Officers from Prince Edward County OPP have charged one person after an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Monday, the OPP began an investigation into a domestic related incident. With assistance from the Tactical and Rescue Unit a warrant was executed at a residence. As a result of that warrant, several firearms were seized from the residence, and one person was charged with assault.
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton at a later date.
