Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee quickly recommended council approve a zoning amendment allowing a housing/commercial development on the waterfront between the Ramada Inn and Victoria Harbour.
Twelve years ago, plans surfaced for the construction of three 15-storey condominium buildings but recently
developers applied for a rezoning to allow 213 residential units, consisting mostly of a variety of townhouses and a couple of mid-rise multi-unit mixed-use buildings.
Council will make the final decision on the rezoning.
