Belleville police responded to an assault involving a flashlight.
Officers responded to to a call for service at a home in the Belleville’s west end on Sunday at around 7:37 a.m.
It was reported that a verbal altercation took place and escalated with a woman striking another woman in the face with a flashlight.
As a result of an investigation, 55-year-old Cherie Brown of Belleville was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
