Belleville council will discuss proposals to upgrade services offered by Fire and Emergency Services.
Monday afternoon Fire Chief Dan Smith will describe recommended changes to the department’s Establishing and Regulating By-law.
Those changes include improving the level of service offered for both hazardous material and to ice and water rescue.
Also on the agenda will be the recruitment of family doctors and nurse practitioners.
The Manager of Physician Recruitment and Retention Karen Poste will provide answers to questions asked last month regarding recruitment by Councillor Kathryn Brown.
Brown wondered if Belleville’s recruitment program took into consideration provincial funding going to other organizations such as the Belleville Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic and the Belleville/Quinte West Community Health Centre.
Belleville council meets at 4:00 p-m at city hall.
