Quinte West OPP have laid an impaired driving charge.
On Monday around 11:30 p.m., police were dispatched for a report of a person causing damage to a vehicle in a parking lot.
The person was arrested for impaired and transported to the Quinte West detachment for further testing.
Sebastien Lavoie, age 42 from Quebec, was charged with:
· Mischief – destroys or damages property
· Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 16, 2026.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and licence suspended for 90 days.
